The blood of the drow extends beyond their dusky brethren, blending with other elves and humans to produce more than the standard half-elf. Many drow believe that interbreeding with other kinds of elves will strengthen the entire race and convert all elves to their side. And for every drow that scoffs at the idea of mingling with humans, there is another who will risk "diluting" their bloodline for love, power, and pleasure.
Those half-drow, half-humans who are conceived, born, and raised in drow cities below the ground are generally the worst off. They tend to be the children of drow masters and their slaves, technically born into bondage but given special attention due to their drow parent. Although some are elevated out of slavery, they are regularly ridiculed for their human blood and withheld from the highest ranks of power.
While drow are known for their viciousness, not all of their offspring are produced through force or raised in tyranny. Half-drow are often living proof that the drow can be kind and loving, and many half-drow children are raised by fiercely affectionate and protective parents. Many people fear and hate half-drow at first sight, particularly when they resemble their drow heritage, but some communities judge children according to their own actions.
The templates below were made for D&D 3.5 edition and/or Pathfinder 1st edition.
